A surreal short about Lula, a mute girl who believes she came from the moon — a spaceship from another galaxy. She communicates in sign language with the moon, while her only companion, a chameleon, acts as her translator. Through dreams, she enters a mirrored parallel world and meets herself. This poetic and visually symbolic film explores identity, duality, and imagination as forms of refuge.

IGI combines lyrical storytelling and documentary style to examine the cost of being “different” in a conformist society. The film centers on an albino girl in Rustavi as a metaphor for visibility, queerness, and social vulnerability. It draws inspiration from Jemal Karchkhadze’s short story Igi and real anti-LGBTQI+ events in Georgia (May 17, 2013 and July 5, 2021). -Winner of the Golden Prometheus for Best Short Documentary at the Tbilisi International Film Festival (2023).
